Many people have complained about the music and sound effects that come up once in a while during the listen. As with all the first nine "Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series" on books, I listen to them over and over again. Richard and Anita are fighting, "The Circus of the Dammed" has been taken over by the "Council" and it's pick of hostages for their horrific brand of entertainment and Jean Claude's past catches up with him. This book, especially in format is a real ride. "Burnt offerings", Book 7 of L.K.H.'s "Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series" brings Anita, Jean Claude, Richard Zeeman, loyal werewolves and were-leopards against the Nightmare of the infamous "Vampire Council". What a BLAST! Hamilton and Alexis, unstoppable!! This Richard guy? I would have left his STUPID ass in the middle of the freaking desert. I just did stuff for real that all the male characters talk about. served in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Germany, Korea. 18 months in Vietnam, gunner on a tank in Desert Storm. or the ability to drive women nuts when making love. I don't have hair to my shoulders like the characters. that Anita moans over is a freaking JERK. it's the "Men are from Mars and women from Venus" thing. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you? She does an excellent job of changing voices between characters What about Kimberly Alexis’s performance did you like? What was one of the most memorable moments of Burnt Offerings? Where does Burnt Offerings rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?Įxcellent.
